Use this as a tight, recurring checklist to see if your Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is actually creating demand—not just content.
0) Prep (once, then quarterly)
- [ ] Define top 3–5 competitors (brand and product-line level).
- [ ] Lock primary markets and language(s).
- [ ] Agree on measurement window (rolling 13 weeks for trend; 90 days for comparisons).
- [ ] Assign owners for Brand Demand, Buyer Intent, Prompt Visibility, Conv. Queries.
1) Share of Search (North Star)
Goal: Your brand's share of branded demand rises versus the category.
Weekly / 13-week trend:
- [ ] Track branded queries in Google Trends (country-level) for you + competitors.
- [ ] Cross-check with My Telescope (brand demand index) and Semrush branded volumes.
- [ ] Log the % share and the slope (up/flat/down). Watch trend, not week-to-week noise.
- [ ] Note PR/coverage spikes and LLM recommendation surges that precede lifts.
Note: GEO often affects SoS through PR—when an LLM recommends your store, users still Google you to verify → branded search rises.

Interpret:
- Up = good. Flat = warning. Down = mobilize PR/comms immediately.
